This patch is all about market awareness.
v6.5 introduces a major overhaul of the TTS announcement system — one of the most substantial refinements we have made to it so far. The goal is simple: bring forward what matters, communicate it clearly, and reduce unnecessary noise..
During quieter periods, almost any announcement has room to breathe. During peak market hours, that changes quickly. Multiple tickers can trigger at once, momentum can shift rapidly, and an announcement system that simply says everything can become more distracting than useful.
v6.5 is designed around that problem.
Smarter announcements
The TTS system has been extensively reworked to better understand how announcements should be communicated when activity increases.
Announcements can now adapt to what is happening around them, allowing the system to keep important information clear without overwhelming the listener when several events occur close together.
The result is a TTS system that should feel more deliberate, more informative, and significantly less noisy during busy periods.
New triggers
We've expanded the announcement system with new triggers and additional market events, giving Monitor more ways to surface meaningful changes as they develop.
These have been integrated into the wider TTS logic rather than simply adding more things for the system to say.
More awareness doesn't have to mean more noise.
Clearer communication
A large part of this update has been spent refining the language itself.
Announcements have been adjusted to communicate what is happening as efficiently as possible, with better variation and clearer distinction between different types of activity.
The objective isn't to tell traders what to do — it's to make it easier to understand what deserves attention right now.
Simpler controls
While the system behind TTS has become considerably more capable, the user-facing controls have moved in the opposite direction.
We've cleaned up and simplified the TTS settings so the important controls are easier to understand without exposing unnecessary internal complexity.
The defaults have also been carefully tuned around how the announcement system is intended to operate.
Under the hood
v6.5 also includes a substantial internal cleanup.
Legacy TTS code and dead paths have been removed, overlapping logic has been consolidated, and the announcement pipeline has been simplified around the new system.
This gives us a much cleaner foundation for continuing to evolve TTS going forward.
v6.5 is ultimately about signal over noise.
